knits

Since I do not have a single race on my calendar for this year, YET. Training has been slow... but knitting has been abundant.
I knitted myself a pair of mittens to match my All*Stars. CUTE, RIGHT?!

Sheldon needs some new love...

I've been cruising the net looking for bearded hat patterns... I think they're hilarious.. and in the process I ran across ChemKnits... She's got some pretty great stuff.. her pup stocking is awesome... But then I saw her Sheldon turtle and his new garb! MUST HAVE!!

damn pinterest

Pinterest makes me want to be crafty...
I saw this the other day on pinterest...

and I made this... It didn't take very long (+/- 30 min) .. and was basically free
trying to figure out what type of string was used to make it stand out more.. I think a couple of tries I could be a pretty decent mockery of the original...
Mr thinks I should do Colorado.. har har har

day 27, 28, 29: oops

day 27: Sunday -- Tree hunting!  Took the family on our Christmas tree hunt Sunday!  We had a great time (not typical - I usually end up screaming) with decent weather (really not typical- it's usually screaming cold).

day 28: Monday -- NO LEFTOVERS!  Finally, we balked on the leftovers and cooked another meal, after 4 days of surviving on leftovers (not really true - but it seemed like it).

day 29: Tuesday - - An electronically inclined husband that likes to tinker!  He installed an AUX CABLE in the Peach this afternoon so NOW I can listen to MY music!   YAY...  Also that the Mr didn't get the axe today during the 'big layoffs'.

day 26: Papillion

I love the city we live in. Tonight was my favorite event they hold, and to top it off the GRINCH was there! *SO HAPPY*

Day 25: unexpected mail

I love finding unexpected items in my mailbox. Something about a letter, or card, or package, that I don't expect to receive makes me smile a little more. It means someone else is thinking about me enough to share something about them. Even better: I love it when Ben opens the mailbox to find something addressed to him. His eyes light up a little more.
